Germ play in the forest
Kids' play in the forest – play with nature's treasures 🐌🍂🍄🟫
Whether you are staying overnight in Forest Village, visiting the Forest Tower or spending a day in the climbing park, you can play a little game that brings you very close to nature. Playing in the forest is a classic and cozy activity that invites both children and adults to sense, discover and immerse themselves – and spot the little treasures of the forest that lie right at our feet.
How do you do it?
Start by collecting different things from the forest floor: rocks, leaves of different shapes and colors, pine cones, acorns, feathers, moss, snail shells – everything the forest has to offer. Place the things on a table or a tree stump and cover them with a cloth, a sweater or whatever you have to hand.
Lift the cloth for 30 seconds and let the participants look and feel. Then cover the things again, and now it's time to remember what was hidden under the cloth. If there is something the participants can't remember, you can give them little clues to help.
When the game is over, the next part begins: now the participants have to go out and find things on the forest floor themselves. These can be the same objects as in the game – or something completely new that they spot themselves. You can make it a quiet and pleasant cooperative exercise or a small competition.
A game that opens the senses
Take the opportunity to see, feel and smell nature, and get up close to some of the things we otherwise easily overlook on the go. You get right down to eye level with the details of the forest, and the game often opens up for good conversations about trees, plants, insects and wildlife. About the changing of the seasons, the cycle of nature – and how it's all connected.
Enjoy!

The book pops out
It is one of the highlights of the year.
These days the beech trees unfold their leaves and create a brightly colored roof over Camp Adventure's boardwalk. It is magical and marks the arrival of spring and the renewal of nature, but it is also crucial for the forest ecosystem.
With the beech trees' dense branches and broad leaves that filter the sunlight, they create a shady environment that is perfect for plants and animals. The trees help keep the soil moist and help provide a habitat for the animals, while also supporting a diverse plant life.
Welcome back, green beech trees.
We welcome spring
Sprouts sprout from the forest floor and leaf buds in reddish-brown colors grow on the beech trees, while the sunflowers sing their joyful melody.
It has become spring. A time when nature wakes up quietly, when the weather slowly gets warmer, and where light and colors give the forest a unique character.
Spring is a changing time that you can enjoy at Camp Adventure. We celebrate not only that the days are getting longer and brighter, but also the beautiful sight when spring's unique color palette hits the forest.
