Take a fantastic aerial journey over the Forest Tower on National Geographic.
In the 5th season of National Geographic's beautiful hit series "Europe From Above", Skovtårnet appears in the first episode.
In the episode you can see the Skovtårnet from above in different seasons, get an insight into the Skovtårnet's extensive construction process, and hear from the mastermind behind it, Jesper Mathiesen, why it is worth an experience!
The series, which can also be streamed on Disney +, is a drone documentary that shows areas and remarkable regions of Europe from angles not seen before. The first episode of the new and 5th season zooms in on the Nordic countries and gets up close to some of the countries' hidden treasures, seen from above. And we are very grateful that Skovtårnet is one of the selected locations.
National Geographic writes about the first episode:
Join us on a journey to the cold north. In the first episode, when the series goes to Denmark, viewers come along to Copenhagen at Christmas time, where Kayak Bar celebrates Santa Lucia with a kayak procession through the capital's canals. Also experience one of Denmark's newer and popular tourist attractions when EUROPE SEES FROM ABOVE visits the Skovtårnet in Rønnede in South Zealand. It is a unique tower that has received national as well as international attention and presents innovative architecture.
The journey then goes north to the Faroe Islands, where the episode focuses on the country's sheep, which uniquely graze on the slopes of the steep mountains and magnificent landscapes. Come to Norway and get up close to the world's longest staircase that goes up one of the country's mighty mountains. In Sweden, you can see how the unique Slussen Bridge, which has been transported all the way from China, is sailed together in full size into Stockholm's harbor and placed in the heart of the city. In Finland, "The Silent People" can be experienced, and in Iceland locals are working on a bird rescue project for the country's puffins.
In the following sections, the trip goes further south towards the Mediterranean, Benelux, the Spanish islands, the Alps and the British Isles.
